Francesca Gozdek is an Italian-born, Sydney-based dance artist, choreographer and movement educator. Across more than 15 years of professional practice in Europe and Australia, she has built a distinctive physical language: powerful floorwork, instinctive musicality and a cinematic sense of character.

Her work moves between contemporary performance, dance film, creative campaigns and rollerdance. She brings the same commitment to every setting—physical precision, emotional depth and a strong presence on stage and on camera.

As founder and artistic director of Interchange Dance Project, Francesca creates work across performance, film and installation. As an educator, she teaches contemporary dance at AMPA and leads workshops internationally. Through Freeform, she brings Pilates, mobility and creative movement into everyday life.

Francesca creates work driven by intensity, momentum and emotional detail. Through Interchange Dance Project, she brings artists together to explore what the body can reveal.

Her projects include Train Escape, presented at Florence Dance Festival, the film and stage development of Where I Was, and Fray, a solo premiered in Sydney in 2026.

Francesca’s teaching connects the discipline of a professional dancer with an attentive, individual approach. Her sessions build strength, range and coordination while making space for curiosity, confidence and enjoyment.

She works with dancers and people of different movement backgrounds, drawing together structured training, creative exploration and body awareness.
